Bard Capital is a private, family-owned investment and operations firm built on the belief that supporting people and their families is essential to creating value.

Bard Capital began investing in middle-market companies in the 1980’s, as an investor/operator in partnership with many of the largest Wall Street banking firms.

We have had a diverse set of investments in industries including, but not limited to: manufacturing, technology, distribution, security, and banking. Our current portfolio is focused on manufacturing and service providers related to the domestic infrastructure, including the improvement of highways and airport surfaces/runways.

We have been based in Evergreen, Colorado since 1992.

About Our Founder

Richard Bard, our founder, is an entrepreneur and business developer. He is a former banker and CFO, an experienced business operator, and a former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.

He has been Chairman or CEO of three NYSE-listed companies and one NASDAQ-listed company.

Mr. Bard is the former Chair of the Board of Visitors of Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University, and he is the former Chair of the Advisory Board of the School of Business at the University of Colorado, Denver.
